No, i don’t think representative democracy is good. I think it’s an oxymoron, a dangerous cognitive dissonance designed to make the plebes feel good about the fact that the patricians rule us with indifference at best and malice if we dare press for change. A direct popular vote for executive is such an obvious and enactable nessecity after the 2000 election that one wonders how anyone could still champion electoral tyranny. A ratification of congressional law by the citizenry would be the next logical implementation of democratic principle, and requiring popular vote for Supreme Court assention would complete the mirroring of power transferrence at the municiple and state levels to the federal. It’s common sense,
